Mission Statement -
The purpose of the BEL (Business, Education, and Labor) Committee is to promote partnerships between business, education, and labor for WorkAbility I Programs at local, regional, and state level and to publish the handbook, A Guide to Forming Strategic Alliances, and the statewide BEL newsletter.
The committee is divided into two sub-committees. The regions in the south produce the BEL newsletter, and the northern regions produce the handbook A Guide to Forming Strategic Alliances. The committee meets twice a year at the State Business Meetings, and the sub-committees meet as needed throughout the year.
BEL Newsletter
The BEL Newsletter is a biannual publication that usually is distributed at the State Business Meetings. It features business partnerships and student success stories from WorkAbility sites throughout the state. In addition to the articles, it includes a brief outline of WorkAbility I, business and student benefits, and a listing of the BEL Committee members.
The BEL Newsletter was intended to promote the WorkAbility I Program to businesses and communities, by highlighting success stories from around the state. The BEL Committee members in southern regions of the state produce the BEL Newsletter.
